About the Challenge

In tropical countries, sun rays are present all year and all day long. To avoid skin damage caused by excessive exposure to sun, we need to be careful. Sunscreen use helps maintain a beautiful and healthy skin, preventing many problems like skin cancer, skin burns, spots, premature aging and sagging skin. However, we know this is not yet a widespread habit among the population.

Thinking about that, J&J is looking for startups and researchers with innovative solutions related to:

» new ingredients and sun filters (specially for face care)
» new sunscreen formulas, formats and packaging (specially for face care)
» new ways of applying sunscreen and protecting against sun
» new visual and digital tools to track sun protection
» new in-vitro methodologies related to suncare

Challenge is open to startups and researchers in any development stage (in-vitro, in-vivo, clinical, prototype, commercial). Innovators can be located all around the world, with preference to Latin America countries.

2. Can I submit confidential information?
Do not submit confidential information. Only non-confidential information should be shared. Do not share any information that can be used to protect your solution through a patent.

3. What are the next steps for selected startups?
Selected startups will be invited for speed-dating meetings with J&J team.

4. What is the value of participating in this challenge?
Opportunity of mentoring with J&J experts to co-develop products for the globe, possibility to become a J&J partner/supplier and connect to the global J&J network.
